Rudraksha are great balancers of energy in our body-mind. Rudraksha are hence used for balancing graha energies for our benefits.
Rudraksha has dynamic polarity (it can change its polarity ) and works at cellular level in our body. Our cells have protein, DNA, RNA, and amino acids. The amino acid has electrical charges and any disturbance in amino acids disturbs the electrical polarity in our cells. The healthy cells have 70 to 100 millivolts of current, with the heart cells having 90 to 100 millivolts. Due to stress, anxiety, and fears coupled with disturbed electromagnetic fields around us, the cellular voltage drops. People with chronic illness have cellular voltage of 30 to 50 millivolts.
Rudraksha senses the disturbances in electrical charge polarity and changes its own polarity (it has dynamic polarity) to give a reverse charge to cells. The cells membranes behave like computer microchips and download the reverse electrical charge from rudraksha, when in contact. This helps bring a balance in cells and our physical/ mental problems like depression, irritation, stress, anger, fears, get resolved.

General rudraksha usage
1 mukhi: Spiritual growth and mediation

16 mukhi: Maha mrityunjaya, saves from severe accident and fatal diseases
18 mukhi: To attract wealth, landed properties and luxuries in life.
2 to 14 mukhi mala is commonly used by people. It pacifies all graha except Saturn and Mercury. It is good for overall growth and cheaper compared to 2 to 17 or 2 to 18 mukhi mala.
However, if you can afford and if you want both material and spiritual success, then you should wear 2 to 18 mukhi rudraksha.
The mala can be all Indonesian beads or Nepal beads or a combination of Indonesian and Nepal beads ( Nepal beads generally costly because of its large size. Indonesian beads are smaller, lesser priced and equally effective).
N.B.: It is a good idea to wear nava graha shanti mala by combining nine beads of rudraksha. It can be 2,3,5,6,7,8,9,15, and 17 or, 2,5,6,8,9,12,13,15, and 17.
